Barratt Homes Eastern Counties Phase 2
As the second phase of a larger project, Checkmate were instructed to carry out type 2 Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) works on blocks of flats 3 stories and under of Barratt Homes built estates.

Following initial survey, the remedial works consisted of service penetration into individual flats and service riser/intake cupboards.
As newly built housing estates, Barratt Homes wanted to ensure upmost fire safety for new and expected residents.
Checkmate upgraded compartmentation throughout common areas. All remedial works have been complete and all our works have been certified and handed over.
We have received some very positive feedback from various management companies, from residents and from Barratts themselves both verbally and written.
Results
With all works completed on time and to budget, the safety of the housing estates was verified by 3rd party compliance.
The success with Checkmate Fire’s standard of work resulted in further work requested to be carried out a similar project in the same developments for residential blocks of four stories and above.
