Checkmate achieves Gold Award at the RoSPA Awards 2025
We're proud to announce that we have achieved a Gold Award at the RoSPA Awards 2025, one of the UK’s most respected benchmarks for health and safety performance.

After securing Silver in 2024, progressing to Gold in 2025 reflects continued momentum and a sustained commitment to safer working practices across every project and site.
The RoSPA Awards assessment is rigorous and evidence-led. This year’s submission required a detailed written response of more than 6,000 words, supported by over 60 pieces of evidence, capturing the strength of our safety systems, our culture on the ground, and our focus on continuous improvement.
Special recognition goes to Colin Campbell, who led this year’s entry with outstanding diligence and attention to detail, ensuring our approach to health and safety was clearly evidenced and represented. This achievement also belongs to the wider Checkmate Fire team, whose consistent day-to-day actions make high standards possible.
It was a fantastic feeling to receive this recognition on behalf of our teams, whose hard work and dedication made it possible. We’re proud to be recognised for protecting people, property, and workplaces, and this Gold Award reflects the care and pride that runs through everything we do.
