As Business Development Manager, Kate has the opportunity of sourcing new clients whilst maintaining relations with the current Checkmate Fire clients. Kate’s core responsibilities are to build strong relationships with clients and key personnel in the industry in order to promote awareness of this potentially lifesaving service. One of the key barriers in the UK is that the service isn’t well-known. It is Kate’s aim to try and educate as many people as possible, both those in the Facilities Management and Construction profession and those in general building ownership.
Providing excellent customer service and becoming a value contact to clients is essential to her role and meeting new and different people and building relationships is one of the favourite parts of her job.
For the previous 12 years, Kate has worked for a brand leading architectural seals company, ranging from Technical Sales Representative to Business Development Officer.
