Queen Mary University
Neil Ward, Construction Manager
I have just returned from 2 weeks annual leave (well Monday, but ive been snowed under) what a fantastic tidy job you / your guys have done for us in the BSU at Queen Mary Uni, usually, no offence but it is a tricky job you do and it seems to get smeared everywhere ( other companys), I have never seen works as neat as this and we have done a lot! I shyed away from fire stopping it all and was trying to get various bricklayers to patch in, I wish I had just done the lot in fire stopping now! There is more to do and we will call you in again in a couple of weeks Hopefully you travel outside the London area and we can work together on other projects, thanks again.

In order to ensure a good standard of passive fire protection in its new Student Centre the University engaged Checkmate to provide consultancy on passive fire specifications, compliance with the relevant building regulations and British Standards and to survey the quality of the installation. The Checkmate team were very helpful and provided good service.

I can confirm that for a number of years Checkmate have carried out fire compartment surveys and passive fire protection remediation and installation work for the University. In January 2010 we chose them as our preferred passive fire protection installer and they remain our contractor of choice. We would be happy to recommend them for similar work.

St George's Healthcare NHS Trust
Richard Oxborrow, Fire Safety Officer
Just a few lines, on behalf of Dave, Ron and myself, to express a very sincere 'Thank You' for coming to St George's today and giving us such a thorough presentation on all aspects of Passive Fire Protection, especially reating to fire compartmentation & stopping and fire doors. We think we had the right mix of staff there and they all appreciated the experience, expertise and knowledge which you both provided. The structure of the presentation was excellent (despite our local technical difficulties!!) and the well-researched practical exercise, using the on-site fire doors, at the end was the perfect completion to an excellent morning. Thanks again to you both and we hope that this will be the perfect impetus for the work ahead on our site.

Your company have been doing the Fire Works for Anchor in my Scheme. I would like to give feedback on James and Michael the two contractors that have been working here. It has been a pleasure to have them in the building, they have been considerate with Customers, and Staff. They have kept disruption and noise to a minimum, and have been helpful when dealing with either myself or Customers. Please pass my thanks onto them, they deserve good feedback.

Ann Rogers, Scheme Manager, Anchor Housing
I would like to pass a compliment on, regarding the team who are working in the scheme. They have all worked nonstop safely, I have received no complaints from tenants. They have caused no disruption for either myself or tenants alike. So I would like to pass on my thanks & compliments to the lads. Often I feel people like to complain, with something as major as this work. But all I can do is fully praise the lads. They are a huge asset to your company & Anchor alike.
