BRE - The Building Research Establishment

For 95 years, The BRE has created and upheld standards and best practice for the built environment. The LPCB (Loss Prevention Council) was formed separately and merged with BRE in 2000. The Fire Protection Association (FPA) is the UK's national fire safety organisation and is one of 28 similar national bodies worldwide.
